Lower Level Main Conference Room
201 First Avenue East
ATTENDING:
Charlie Johnson, Construction Manager Sean Conrad, City Planner, Chair
Jeff Clawson, Building Official Dwain Elkins, Plans Reviewer
Chad Fincher, Parks Superintendant Michelle Anderson, Recording Secretary
HEAR THE PUBLIC: No one from the public was present.
PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: Johnson noted the Appleway Apartments bond expires in 1
week and the bond for Phase 3 of Northland expires on Monday.
OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: Elkins reviewed a submittal for a conversion of a dental office to an attorney's office located
at 502 5th Street East. Elkins noted that a site plan for the pergola is needed to determine if the design can meet
the setbacks. Johnson said he would take a look at the condition of the sidewalks to see if they need to be
replaced. Elkins added the remodel will not affect parking requirements since the use will be similar.
Elkins said the permit is ready to be issued for the new DNRC Building on Section 36 and Conrad said the final
plat still needs to be completed and forwarded to city council for approval before the permit can be issued. Conrad
added the water rights issues have not yet been resolved so it could be 2 — 6 weeks before it is sent on to council.
Elkins reported that the Flathead City -County Health Department 3rd floor expansion building permit will be
issued soon, however the Fire Department approval has not been completed for this project.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Conrad stated the only new project expected is a commercial planned unit
development on the Cornerstone Church property located at the corner of Highway 93 North and Northridge
Drive.
OTHER REPORTS: Fincher asked the status on the Westview Estates well house and Johnson said the
elevations were shot and it may require Parks to lay some topsoil for drainage. Johnson suggested Fincher
contact Ben VanDyke in Public Works. Johnson described the water problems at the site.
Clawson asked if Fincher would check the construction site at the Kids Sport concession stand to make sure
that fencing is up to prevent the kids from entering the site. Fincher said he would go to the site sometime
today.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
