CTA South Kalispell Urban Renewal Plan Update —July 2015: Tom Jentz summarized that 1/3 of community members
surveyed want to close the airport, 1/3 want the airport to stay as it is and 1/3 want to see slight improvements. In
summary of the whole process CTA will need to come to City Council with monetary values for each option. For now CTA
will look into minor improvement costs and whether the FAA is willing to invest. It has been suggested that the most
practical reuse of the airport site is putting a needed new high school there and relocating the county fairgrounds. This
has only been discussed at the planning level, the school district and county have not had disucssions about this reuse
idea.
