Approval of Minutes: Mark moved to approve the January 22 minutes; John seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Old Business: None
New Business:
Town Pump — modification to existing freestanding sign; amber message center replacing
the red. Height is the same, but the sign is a bit smaller. Internally lit. Traffic visibility
addressed. Including the car wash sign. John moved to approve; Carol seconded.
Approved 6-0.
Sem's Car Wash — 2792 Hwy 93 S; new freestanding sign; red -match trim on building
(more of a burgundy). 6'dimension is from bottom of panel to top of the bump out on the
top of the main panel. Janet moved to approve; Mark seconded. Approved 6-0.
The Forge — 227 1st St W; remodel existing building to a coffee shop. No representative
is present. Awning may or may not work due to setbacks. Committee likes the tin siding,
especially on the east side. Not sure about the rock and shutters. Carol moved to table;
John seconded. Motion to table passed 6-0.
Flathead Health and Fitness — 300 I't Ave W; addition to existing building. The
addition will match existing color/materials/elevation. Bill moved to approve, Mark
seconded. Approved 6-0.
Other Discussion:
Glacier Town Center - Sean discussed the current status of the project. Does ARC
want to have input now? It would be a good idea. Discussion on Dillards — 4 sided
architecture; the arch, cinder block. Discussion regarding the interior layout within the
main town center area — parking, landscaping, snow, benches. Should have
trees/boulevard in the center area. Should strive for a "Main Street" feel. Use of
evergreens is important, at least as part of the mix. Leave on the agenda for additional
discussion.
