PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS:
Moose's Saloon — They have posted a $2,700+ Cashier's Check for work they plan to complete this
week.
OLD BUSINESS:
RDO Phase 2 (Phase 1 was only interior work) — Tabler stated Public Works will be getting
comments out on this soon. There is a 20 ft. one-way driving lane that goes into the gravel area. It's
a dead-end for employees to get to their parking area. Building will need to look at the ADA
accesses. They will have an 8 ft. concrete sidewalk in the ROW. This will be on the agenda for next
week.
Fresh Life — 31 — 2nd St E; addition to church. Public Works is still waiting for their submittal. They
need to get their storm sewer system updated based on what they want to do. They did take out all
the property boundaries, and it is now one lot. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Great Northern Dental — 85 Village Loop; new office. Their final design is pending what the geo-
tech analysis says. Tabler noted they were going to do some deep soil borings along the top of the
slope. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Sterling West School —135 Glenwood; new private school. Nothing new has been submitted. They
are still planning on meeting with Public Works and the City Manager. This will be on the agenda for
next week.
Husky Street Apartments — 1110 Husky St; new apartments. All departments are good with this
project. They will be paying their impact fees on the 5-year plan. This is passed through Site Review.
Casa Mexico —1600 Hwy 93 S; addition to existing restaurant. Parker sent out comments about two
weeks ago. Public Works is waiting for a drainage submittal. This will be on the agenda for next
week.
NEW BUSINESS:
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Nothing on the Agenda for October
Open House — On the last phase of the Core Area Re -Zone, which is the far west side from 7 h to
Meridian.
Southside Estates, Phase 2 — They are looking at annexing the 10 acres that go over to Airport
Road. This will be going to the November Planning Board and then doing a Plat in December. It will
come in as a subdivision. Tabler thought they said 85 units, with a mix of multi -family and single
family. Public Works would like a condition that requires they line up the roadway with the new
roadway to the east. They plan to have offset intersections there.
Westview Estates — The northern half that goes up by the gravel pit will be coming in soon.
Kalispell North Towne Center — They will be final platting their next phase before too long, but are
still working with MDT. They are coming out with toning the plat down a little bit with some smaller
lots.
OTHER REPORTS:
Medical Arts — Parking Lot Expansion — Jackola. Sorensen stated we will now require a Building
Permit for parking lot expansions that will allow it to go through Site Review. This will be the first
one. It should be coming in soon.
Glacier Bank ATM Change — This will be a parking lot and ATM lane change in the bank near the
Blue Cow. There are actually three properties. They will need Storm, Driveway and ROW Permits
before they can begin, along with Parks' approval of the landscaping. They will also need to eliminate
the property lines and abandon any utility services that will no longer be used. They will also need to
pay impact fees.
College Avenue Property — There is a 20 ft. alley that dead -ends through City park property.
Sorensen explained what the City owns there and the private area near the alley. Presently, the owner
of this particular property has no access. He will be coming in next week for a meeting to discuss a
possible land swap with us. Public Works, Parks and Planning will need to be there.
Bloomstone Phase 2 — Public Works has finished their first review on this. Dedman had a question
as to the spacing of hydrants for this project. He thought they were proposing their placement at 300
ft. apart. Tabler stated he thought it should be 500 ft. according to Public Works' Standards.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
