02/11/08 SP City Council MinutesA SPECIAL MEETING OF THE KALISPELL CITY COUNCIL WAS HELD AT 7:00 P.M.,
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2008, IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL IN
KALISPELL, MONTANA. MAYOR PAMELA B. KENNEDY PRESIDED. COUNCIL MEMBERS
JIM ATKINSON, BOB HAFFERMAN, RANDY KENYON, TIM KLUESNER, DUANE LARSON,
HAND. OLSON, AND WAYNE SAVERUD WERE PRESENT. COUNCIL MEMBER KAKI
GABR.IEL WAS ABSENT.
Also present: City Manager James Patrick, City Attorney Charles Harball, City Clerk Theresa White, Public
Works Director Jim Hansz, and Planning Director Tom Jentz.
Mayor Kennedy called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A. AGENDA APPROVAL
Larson moved approval of the Agenda. The motion was seconded.
There was no discussion.
The motion carried unanimously upon vote.
B. PUBLIC COMMENT
Eric Hummel, Attorney for Wolford Development, thanked the City Attorney for postponing the public hearing
on the Kalispell Area Transportation Plan until March 3. He requested additional information including Peccia
and Associates' traffic count and traffic analysis statistics which were used to determine the level of service for
the various intersections within Kalispell. Hummel asked the Council to allow sufficient time for others to
analyze the information and not rush consideration of this matter.
C. REPORTS/RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUBSEQUENT COUNCIL ACTION
CII. BOARD APPOINTMENTS -- PRERELEASE CENTER WORKING COMMITTEE
Mayor Kennedy recommended the following names for appointment: Nick Aemisegger, Jr., Rick Halverson,
Julianne Hinchey, Tom Jentz, Roger Nasset, and Hank Olson.
Saverud moved the Council accept the .Mayor's recommendation and appoint Nick Aemisegger, Jr.,
Rick Halverson, Julianne Hinchey, Tom Jentz, Roger Nasset, and Hank Olson to the Prerelease Center
Working Committee. The motion was seconded.
The motion carried unanimously upon vote with Gabriel absent.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
