OLD BUSINESS:
Town Pump — 2910 Hwy. 93 S.; casino addition to convenience store — Many departments
have received letters from Mr. Kestle. The CUP had some conditions regarding the
landscaping that Parks will need to look at. The entrance on Cemetery Road will need to be
made smaller - Public Works will determine the size. They sent a letter of response regarding
the sprinklering, landscaping, etc. We will need spot elevations on the drawings. They will
need a letter from MDOT and the County regarding the crosswalks. Everyone will need to
respond to their various letters from Mr. Kestle to each department.
Courthouse East — 723 — 5th Ave E; remodel existing building into office/apartment use;
proposed new coffee shop; consideration of proposed amendment to PUD (allow 5 ft.
landscape buffer from sidewalk rather than property line) — Public Works and Parks are okay
with this. The general consensus is that this is a minor change and is approved by Site
Review with the condition that they will need to have wheel stops. This will be incorporated
into the original Development Agreement. The mechanical drawings are done, and the other
plans are coming soon. All the entrances were noted. The fire sprinkler connection should be
on the 5th Avenue side of the building. They will also need a knox box and probably an
outside horn strobe and bell. The boilers are on the roof. The coffee shop and the basement
will also need to be sprinklered. Parks and Public Works have been working with them and
they are okay with this. The parking has been adjusted. The two driveway entrances were
discussed. They will put in bollards on the service entrance. Roger will take a look at this
today. The bonding dollar amount has not been determined yet from the City Attorney. PJ
will let Charlie know about the PUD amendment change being considered minor and also
approved. F. Ray requested further plans of their sprinkler system, hydrants, cut sheets, and
fire alarm. Public Works will also need a final set of plans.
NEW BUSINESS:
340 S Main — 2nd floor remodel/apartment or office space — there was an existing apartment
on the second floor. They started to remodel it, but are not sure if this will be apartments or
offices. Zoning, fire, and building issues will need to be resolved before the permit is issued.
This is approved through Site Review pending resolution of these issues.
1645 Hwy. 93 S — entryway addition — Jesse Wall's old office. They would like to do an
entryway similar to the old McKenzie River Restaurant. This is approved through Site
Review.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS:
Eisinger Motors —Growth policy zone change. The zone change is to B-2 and then they will
annex. They will be bringing in their building plans sometime in June.
Withey's Health Food Store — The portable signs are tied to the Certificate of Occupancy.
OTHER REPORTS:
City Shops — They will need to go through Architectural Review next week. Fire, Building,
and Public Works will get together later today.
Sheriffs Office — They would like to build a metal roof over their generator. This is not a
Site Review issue.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
