F. Ray Ruffatto, Fire Inspector Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary
Hear the Public: None.
Performance Bond Reminders: Tim Birk brought in a Letter of Credit for Muskrat Slough for on -
site sidewalks. Another Letter of Credit is coming due for Westview Business Center for
maintenance and warranty issues. They are still working on this.
OLD BUSINESS:
Courthouse East — 723-5th Ave E; remodel existing building into office/apartment use;
proposed new coffee shop — nothing new.
Town Pump — 2910 Hwy 93 S — casino addition — we received a letter from the engineer
stating that changing the parking lot would be more dangerous that what we had previously
requested. We will require their southeast access on Highway 93 to be restricted to egress
only, with a right out exit only, no right or left in, and to be signed as such.
Holiday Inn Express — Spring Prairie; new hotel — nothing new.
NEW BUSINESS:
Westwood PUD — requested PUD amendment regarding setbacks — Discussion was held
regarding the stated setbacks on the plat. Due to the limited information provided, this item is
tabled until next week.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS:
Subdivisions — Five subdivision requests came in this last week in various areas, i.e. Willow
Glen, Four Mile Drive south of Kidsports, and Three Mile Drive. Sean will be bringing the
smaller ones to Site Review next week.
OTHER REPORTS:
Addressing — F. Ray met with T D & H regarding Aspen Creek, formerly Bowser Creek, six
lots served by a private road. Back in 2004 they submitted a design for a turnaround. These
"driveway" type access roads will need to have street names. This also occurs in Lone Pine
Estates. The Fire Department requires that buildings fronting on streets should be addressed
as to the street they are facing. Cul-de-sacs need to be addressed as "courts". F. Ray will
speak with Brent about preparing a sheet describing what is needed and necessary for
developers, engineers, etc.
Heritage Bank — Sean asked about the ATM location that was discussed last week. They
want to proceed with getting their building permit without resolving the ATM issue. If they
proceed, they will be doing so with the risk that the ATM may not be approved. Addressing
was also discussed. Sean will respond to them. Sidewalks were discussed again as a follow-
up to last week. Sidewalks will need to connect from the bank to Main Street. The building
will be sprinklered.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
