Mayor Bjorneby appointed Bernard Hanson as Fire Captain. Councilman
Roche moved approval of the appointment of Bernard Hanson as Fire Captain
for 6-month probationary period. Seconded by Councilman McCormick and car-
ried.
Parking Meter Committee - Request of Rygg Ford for Reserved Parking -
Councilman Riley reported the Committee recommends the request of Rygg Ford
for additional reserved parking be denied. The Committee is unable to justify
the request Inasmuch as there are already four reserved spaces in the block
In question on the West side of 1st Avenue East. In addition, Rygg Ford has
a total of 87 feet of curb cuts which represents four parking meters in
addition to the one already reserved. It is felt that they have ample off-
street parking in their former service station location. It is hard to
justify additional reserved parking for this type of business over possible
similar desires from other business firms. Councilman Riley moved the re-
quest of Rygg Ford, for additional reserved parking space, be denied.
Seconded by Councilman Roberts and carried.
