Resolution 3294 - Special Lighting District AssessmentRESOLUTION NO. 3294
A RESOLUTION LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT FOR A PORTION OF THE COST OF
LIGHTING THE STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY SPECIAL LIGHTING
DISTRICT FOR THE YEAR 1980.
WHEREAS, that the entire cost of the Special Lighting
District for the year 1980 is estimated to be $64,200.00, and
WHEREAS, one-fourth of the cost of lighting said district
shall be paid from the General Fund, and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on the 16th day of
June 1980, the City Council did consider all objections
made aid estimate and to the basis of levy and assessment
for payment of the remaining three -fourths of said cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION I. That a tax be levied for the remaining three -fourths
of the total cost, or $48,150.00 be in the amounts set opposite
the description of each lot or parcel of land, as shown by the
special assessment lists on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION II. The amount of said tax shall be levied proportionately
on an area basis in the amount of $00.00084 per sq. ft. or $5.96
for each 7100 sq. ft. lot or parcel of land within the district
except public streets or rights of way,
SECTION III. The City Clerk will forthwith furnish a proper copy
of this resolution to the City Treasurer as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND APPROVED
BY THE MAYOR THIS 16th DAY OF June S 1980.
