RESOLUTION NO. 3261
A RESOLUTION TO REFLECT THE INTENT OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL TO
CONSTRUCT, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN CERTAIN PROPOSED SEWAGE TREATMENT
WORKS IF SAME ARE APPROVED AND FUNDED BY THE STATE AND FEDERAL
GOVERNMENTS -
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell and the
Board of Commissioners of Flathead County have approved and
accepted Volume I of the "201" Facility Plan, and
WHEREAS, the said city and county governing bodies have
approved the Year 2000 Service Area as delineated in said plan
and have duly considered all the factors of the alternatives set
forth in said plan, including the cost effectiveness of each said
alternative; and
WHEREAS, it appears that alternative C-1 of said plan is the
most desirable and feasible to bring existing sewage collection,
treatment and disposal facilities of such delineated area up to
current state and federal standards and requirements as set forth
in said planning report prepared in accord with the Final Con-
struction Grant Regulations, 40 CPR, Part 35, Subpart E, dated
February 11, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City possesses the necessary legal, financial,
institutional, and managerial resources to construct, operate and
m1aintain sewage treatment works and related facilities,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Kalispell that
