Resolution 3200 - Stop Signs - 11th StreetRESOLUTION NO. 3200
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE CHIEF OF POLICE AND
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ESTABLISH ELEVENTH STREET AS A
THROUGH "STOP" STREET AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE SIGNS THEREFOR.
WITNESSETU:
WHEREAS, increased cross town traffic warrants that Eleventh
Street be a through street to facilitate safe and orderly move-
ment of such traffic,
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED THAT:
1. The Chief of Police is authorized and ordered to
establish said Eleventh Street as a through "stop" street for
east -west traffic thereon within the City, except for the inter-
section of said Eleventh Street with Main Street where an
existing traffic signal light shall controll and, further, at
First Avenue East and First Avenue West where existing traffic
control shall remain the same.
2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and
directed to install proper signs and/or signals as may be neces-
sary to control traffic and enable the drivers of vehicles to
comply herewith.
3. Upon proper signs and signals being installed in
compliance herewith, it shall be unlawful for any driver or
operator of any motor or other vehicle or conveyance using the
streets of the City to disobey the instructions of such signs.

APPROVED BY THE MAYOR THIS 16th DAY OF OCTOBER, 1978.
