WHEREAS, upon the advice and recommendation of
Thomas, Dean & Hoskins, Inc who is the City's consultant and

engineer on said project, certain ch;j:ages and alterations of design and specifica-
tions have been found necessary and adviseable and in the best interests of the
City; and said changes and alterations could not have been necessarily foreseeable
when the original design and specifications were prepared on this phase of the
Water Supply Well Improvements Project , and said ebanges axe contained in
Project
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and are by this reference made a part hereof; and
WHIMAS, it appears in the best interests of the City to approve said changes
and alterations,
NOW THRR)aPORR4, pursuant to the provisions of Seetion'll-1204, R.C.M., 1947,
be it hereby resolved-
1. The alterations and modifications of the specifications and plans of the
cont.mat between the City of Yalispell and E?�ord Plumbing & Heating
Contractor
dated __ March 20, 1978 as set out in Exhibit "All attached hereto, axe
hereby approved; and
2. As soon as the price to be paid for said alterations and modifications
are agreed to in writing, signed by the contractor, as hereby approved by the
Council, this approval. thereof shall be in effect.

JUSTIFICATION
The manufacturer has revised the recommended limits of operation
on the 3-inch valve since the project was originally designed. The
alternate 4-inch valve will meet the requirements for this instal-
lation without exceeding the manufacturer's recommended limits for
ACCEPTANCE
The City of Kalispell, owner, and �yford Plumbing & Heating contractor,
in the above referenced contract, do hereby agree -to the term and conditions of
'the instant change order nimber and same is effective this da:te in accordance
with Resolution No. and said contract is amended accordingly.

1. Delete the 3-inch APCO air vacuum valve as described in article

Add a 4-inch APCO air vacuum valve model 1604/152 with a throttlir
device, a 4-inch_gate valve and 4-inch Amount of Change
