A RESOLUTION LEVYING THE COST OF REP.-IOVAL OF GARBAGE OR OTHER
OFFENSIVE MATTER FROM STREETS, ALLEYS OR ON ANY PREMISES AS A
SPECIAL TAX AGAINST PROPERTY FROM VEICH SUCH MATTER WAS DEPOSITED,
AND THE DISPOSITION THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
WHEREAS, Section 11-909 of the Revised Codes of Montana, 1947, gives
a city council power to provide for levying the cost of removal of
garbage or other offensive matter from streets, alleys, or any
premises as a special tax against the property from which the same
was deDosited, the City Council deems such a method more equitable
and just than paying for such removal from the General Fund of the
City.
SECTION 1. The cost for removal of garbage or other offensive
matter for the year 1976-77 is hereby estimated to be $ 1C)8,000.00
and the City Council finds that the cost of the removal of garbaq�_
or other offensive matter from the various lots and Parcels of land
within the City and benefited by such removal is the amount as shown
by the records maintained in City Hall.
SECTION 2. That the. cost is hereby established as follows:
(a) $27.00 per average single family residential
dwelling unit on one or more contiguous city
lots per year; and $15.00 per living unit for
multi -family or more than single family res-
idential dwelling units on one or more contigu-
ous city lots per year.
