A RESOLUTION URGING THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION TO GIVE FrIAEF
TO THE CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY BY MAKING THE NON -DUPLICATION RVIFS AND
REGULATIONS AFFECTING THE MOUNTAIN TIME ZONE CONFORM TO THOSE RULES THAT
APPLY TO THE REKAINDER OF THE UNITED STATES.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Kalispell reside In the Stato of
Montane, Which Is located In the Mountain Time Zone; and,
1AIMtEAS, the citizens of the City of Kalispell deserve equal treatment with
citizens residing outside this time zone; and,
WMRZAS, the Federal Communications'Commission has adopted cortaln TV
program non -duplication rules and regulations which Impose unfair and dis-
crtmtzatory television viewing practices upon the residents of the Mountain
Time Zone;
.40W THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Counoll of the City of Kalispell
does hereby urge the Federal Communications Commission to give relief to
�tho citizens of this community by making the non -duplications rules and
regulations affecting the Mountain Time Zone conform to those rules that
apply to the reminder of the United States.
W14. 13E IT FURTHEII RESOLVED, that tn3Ls City Council and the residents of
this City are unalterably opposed to the continuance of such discriminatory
rules and regulations.
