RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF KALISPELL OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
DOCUMENTS THEREFORE.
WHEREAS, the Kalispell Parking Commission has advised the
Council that it would be to the advantage of the City to purchase
for off-street parking purposes, certain real property owned by
The Epworth Methodist Church of Kalispell, a Montana corporation;,
and
I WHEREAS, the Council is advised that the price for said
property is fair and that the terms of its purchase are favorable.,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF KALISPELL:
1. The council does approve and consent to the purchase of
the following described real property in the City of Kalispell:
Lots 1 and 2 of Block 63 of Kalispell, Montana,
according to a map or plat thereof, records of
the County Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County,
Montana.
2. The purchase price and terms of said purchase are as
follows:
Price - $25,000.00
Down Payment - $5,000.00 (from parking commission funds)
Balance - $4,000.00 plus accrued interest on or before
January 1, 1975, and $4,000.00 plus accrued
interest on or before January 1 of each
succeeding year thereafter until paid in ful-
Title Insurance - The Seller, The Epworth Methodist
Church of Kalispell, is to furnish to the
City acceptable title insurance.
Taxes - Seller to pay all taxes assessed and levied
prior to November 1. 1973. Purchaser to pay
all taxes subsequent to November 1, 1973.
Interest Rate - 7-1/2% per annum.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to purchase
said property on behalf of the City and to execute any documents
that may be necessary to do so and to obligate the City for the
balance due on the purchase price therefor in accord with the abox
terms.
