A RFSOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2938 AND LEVYING THE COST ur XMUVAL
OF GARBAGE OR OTHER OFFENSIVE MATTER FItOM STREETS, ALLEY, OR ON ANY PREMISES
AS A SPECIAL TAX AGAINST PROPERTY FROM WHICH SUCH MATTER WAS DEPOSITED, AND
THE DISPOSITION THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF XALISPELL, MONTANA:
WHEREAS, Section 11-909 of the Revised Codes of �bntana, 1947, gives a City
Council power to provide for levying the cost of removal of garbage or other
offensive matter from streets, alleys, or any premises as a spacial tax
against the property from which the same was deposited, the City Council
deems such a method more equitable and justv than paying for such removal
from the General Fund of the City.
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2938 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. The cost for removal of garbage or other offensive matter for the
year 1974 Is hereby estimated to be $1253000.00 and the City Council
finds that the cost of the removal of garbage or other offensive matter from
the various lots and parcels of land within the City and benefited by such
removai Is the amount as shown by the records maintained In City Hall.
SECTION 3. That the cost Is hereby established as follows:
(a) $21.00 per average single family residential dwelling
unit on one or more contiguous city lots per year;
(b) Charges for all other garbage collection costs sball*be
In accord with the schedule maintained In the office of the
City Engineer.
