Resolution 2843 - Creating Parking CommissionRESOLUTION NO. 2843
A RESOLUTION FINDING THERE IS A NEED FOR A PARKING COMMISSION FOR
THE CITY 02 KALISPELL, AND CREATING SUCH A COM14ISSION; ESTABLISHING
THE JURISDICTION OF SAID COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT TO
CITY OF A SUM IN LIEU OF AD VALOREM,TAXES ON ANY PROPERTY ACQUIRED
BY SAID COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, a motion was duly made and seconded at a meeting of
the Council of the City of Kalispell held on the 7th day of
February, 1972, that there is a need for a Parking Commission,
as provided for in Chapter 37, Title 11, Revised Codes of Montanap
1947, to function in said city, and due deliberation was held by
the Mayor and Council of said city of Kalispell on said motion,,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that:
1. It is hereby found and declared that there is a need for
a Parking Commission to function in the City of Kalispell,,as
provided for in Chapter 37,,Title ll,,R.C.M., 1947; and
2. A Parking Commission of and for the City of Kalispell is
hereby created; and
3. The jurisdiction of said Parking Commission shall extend
to the entire City of Kalispell unless otherwise hereafter limited
by due action of this Council; and
4. For any property it may hereafter acquire said commission
shall pay to the City annually thereafter a sum equal to the amount
said Commission would be required to pay in ad valorem taxes if it,
were a private entity owaing the same property.
