kND MONEY PROVIDED BY THE ItEMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 197111 AN ACT
!"STABLISHED WITHIN THE MANPOWER ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT
)F LABOR
WHEREAS, there has been established within the Manpower Administration of
the United States Department of Labor, a new program known and described
as the "Emergency Employment Act of 1971"9 whichw in general, is an employment
program designed to provide unemployed and underemployed persons with
trailsitional employment in jobs providing needed public services during
times or high unemployment and, wherever feasible, related training and man.

iHEREASt the city or Kalispell has the need for additional employees in the
�Alispell Fire Department, Police Department and Engineering Department,
It Is necessary to expend the sum of $31,200.00 in excess of the budget for
1971-1972,
The Administering Agency shall reimburse, upon receipt of Cost Invoices and
other necessary related information from the City of Kalispell for the
payment of costs incurred or to be Incurred, for participant wages.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Kalispell,
that by reason of the facts stated an emergency is hereby declared to exist
under the provisions of the laws of the State of Montana, and that the
expenditure of $31,200.00 In excess of the budget is hereby authorized for
the purpose set forthq and to be paid out of the Emergency Employment Act
:-of 1971 fund.
