A IMSOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A CAPITAL IMPROVa"ENT FUND FOR THE
WATER DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, tho City of Kalispell filed an application for authority to
increase its rates and charges for water service on December 13, 1965, and
which petition was heard in the City Council Charnbers in City Hall, Kalispell,
Montana, on the 26th day of January, 1966, and
WHEREAS, the Cot,,,mission found, anong other things, as follows:
113. The system is In need of a major replacement program, especially
in transmission and distribution mains and r��eters.
4. 1 ' 'hat additional gross revenues in the amount of $40,000.00 annually
will allow the City to proceed with its replacement program on an orderly
year to year basis", and
WHEREAS, it was duly ordered by the Public Service Commission of Mont-
ana, as a result of said application and hearing thereon and further ordered
as follows:
"It is further ordered that the City institute a cash fund account to
be known as the Capital Improvement Fund. It Is further ordered that suins
aggregate at $40,000.00 be placed into this account for each twelve month
period following the effective date of the rates set forth In this order.
It is further ordered that expenditures from this account be only for
the purposes proposed In the body of this order;" and
WHERZAS, it Is the desire of the City to implement the order of the
Public Service Commission of Montana as rendered on the 14th day of Febru-
ary, 1966.
NOW THEREFORE, IT 13 RESOLVED that the City Water Department of the
City of Kalispell, Montana, create a special fund known as the Capital
Improvement rund and that sums aggregating $40,000.00 be placed in this
account for each 12 month period following the effective day of the ad-
justed rates; that expenditures from this account be only for the purposes
ordered by the Coimnission on the 14th day of February, 1966; and that a re-
port showing that the receipts into and the expenditures out of this ac-
count he made to the ConunIssion at the saT�io time as the City files Its
annual report with said counission.
