Resolution 2567 - Resolution of Intent - Trade PropertyM RESOLUTION NO. 2567 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO TRADE PROPERTY WITH JAMES G. EDMISTON FOR AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell desires to acquire land in order to relocate the landing strip at the City Airport, and WHEREAS, James G. Edmiston owns certain property to the South of the present airport property which would be suitable for runway purposes, and De Is 4111ag to trade 541d ruway proPertY for ut 5# t93 mighway frontage owned by the City, and WHEREAS, it is in the best Interests of the City to trade property with James G. Edmiston, and to accept his proposal that said trade be on a basis of one square foot of highway frontage for two square feet of landing strip property. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: That the City accept the proposal of James G. Edmiston for the exchange of the following property between the City and him: Parcel A (described as follows) shall be traded to Mr. Edmiston by the City: "PARCEL A$: A tract of land beginning in the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 28 North, Range 21 West of Montana Principal Meridian, containing Three and Forty Nine One hundredths (3.49) Acres more or less, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Center of Section 20, Township 28 North, Range 21 West thence North 8SC411 West a distance of Twenty Five and Four one hundredths (25.04) feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing North 89 41, West a distance of 647.75 feet; thence North 3Y 081 West a distance of 105.25 feet; thence North 56521 East a distance of 540.0 feet; thence South 33'081 East and parallel to U. S. Highway Number 93 a distance of 457.72 feet to the true point of beginning containing 3.49 Acres more or less. Parcel B (Described as follows) shall be traded to the City by Mr. Edmiston: "PARCEL B11*1 A tract of land lying In the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 209 Township 28 North, Range 21 West containing 6.98 Acres more or less, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Center of Section 20, Township 28 North, Range 21 West thence North 819�411 West a distance of 672.75 feet to the true point of beginning South 33CO8, East A dittand6 of 15,2,0.02 fd6t. THENCE North W411 West a distance of 239.65 feet; thence North 33'081 West a distance of 1520.02 feet; thence South 890411 East a distance of 239.65 feet to the point of beginning containing 6.98 Acres more or less.
