Resolution 2493 - Resolution of Intent - AnnexationRESOLUTION NO. 2493 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: SECTION 1. That it Is the intention of the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana, to extend the corporate limits, and to amend Section 247 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell, Montana of 1947 prescribing the limits of said City. SECTION 2. That the proposed ad6itjonol area to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana is more particularly described as follows; Beginning at the southeast corner of Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 21 West, Montana Meridian; thence westerly along the south boundary ling of said Section 18t a distance of 333 feet to a point; thence northerly and parallel to the easterly boundary line of Section 18, a distance of 125 fe ' et to a point; thence south 88, 111 west a distance of 36o.26 feet to a point; thence north 01 131 e8st a distance of 125 feet to a point; thence north 88, Ill east a distance of 339.52 Feet to a point; thence north 00 71 east a dis- tance of 169.4 feet to a point; thence north 880 119 east a distance of 40 feet to a point which Is also the southwest corner of Lot 13� Block I of the Baker Addition to Kalispell, Montana, according to a map or platthereof on file and of record in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana; thence east- erly along the southerly boundary of said Tat 13, a distance of 108.9 feet to the aotthwest corner of Lot 12; thence southerly along the westerly line of Lot 12, a distance of 50 feet; thence easterly along the southerly line of the Baker Addition a distance of 174.1 feet to the westerly edge of the County road; thence south 0* 71 east a distance of 374.4 feet; thence north 88* Ill east a distance of 30 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries of the City of Kalispell, Montana as described above, will be In the best interests of the City of Kalispell, and the Inhabitantsthereof, and to the Inhabitants of the contiguous tract above described, and to be included within the limits of said City, and further, that such addition will not materially mar the symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell, and that such tract proposed to be Included within the corporaw nAts of sod Coy is ceysigu"s to said City. SECTION 4. Thot on the 3rd day of June, 1963 at 7:30 P. M. In the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Kalispell, Montana, at a regzliar meeting thereof, the City Council will hear and pass upon any protests that may be made against the extension of these boundaries. The closing time for filing protests is hereby declared to be 5:00 o'clock P. M. June 3, 1963. SECTION 5.
