RESOLUTION GRANTING PACIFIC POWER,AND LIGHT COMPANY PERMISSION TO INSTALL AN
UNDERGROUND TEMEPHONE CONDUIT AND MANHOLE SYSTEM IN DOWNTOWN KALISPELL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITI COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION 1: That Pacific Power and Light Company be, and it is hereby granted
permission to install an underground telephone conduit and manhote system in
downtown Kalispell; said system to be installed as follows:
A. Three manholes will be located on Center Street at the intersections
of Second Alley East and Center Street, First Alley East and Center
Street, and First Alley West and Center Street. In addition to these
manholes, there will be a fourth manhole located in Second Alley East
immediately behind the Power Company office at III First Avenue East.
B. The telephone conduit system will begin in the alley behind the
Peter Company office at III First Avenue East and will extend
northerly in Second Alley East to Center Street, thence vesterly
in Center Street through the manhold at First Alley East, westerly
in Center Street to the manhold at First Alley West, thence westerly
approximately 75 feet to the service riser fixture.
C. Said conduit system shall be approximately 30 inches underground and
shall extend on the westerly side of all alleys and the southerly
side of Center Street.
SECTION 2: That said construction shall follow: the following regulations:
1. All streets, alleys and sidewalks involved to be restored to
original condition.
2. Relative location of company system to City and other facilities
to be as detailed on attached plan drawing.
3. Traffic on all streets to be maintained by working on only one-h0f
of the street at a time. Traffic in alleys will be abstracted for
as short a period as possible.
4. The City Fire Department to be formally notified in advance of all
construction and again notified when construction is completed.
5. Fire hydrants to be kept clear of all obstructions and readily
accessible.
SECTION 1: Said Power Company is also granted permission to make necessary
sewer drain connections at each of the three manholes to be located on Center
Street as set forth above; said connection,, shall be made with the, approval
and under the supervision of the City Engineer.

THIS 2nd DAY OF APRIL, 1962.
