MITTING TO THE QUALIFIED RESIDENT FREEHOLDERS OF THE C ' ITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,
THE Q13ESTION OF GRANTING TO THE MONTA14A POWER COMPANY, A CORPORATION, A FRANCHISE
FOR THE TERM OF FIFTY (50) YEARS AND THEREAFTER uN,rIL AND UNLESS OTHERWISE
PROVIDED 'BY ORDINANCE, UNDER WHICH SAID COMPANY MAY CONSTRUCT, EQUIP, LAY, MAIN-
TAIN, AND OPERATE PIPE LINES AND APPURTENANCES IN, UNDER, UPON, OVER, AND ACROSS
STREETS, AVENUES, ALLEYS, HIGHSAYS, BRIDGES, EASEMENTS, AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AND MAY TRANSPORT, DISTRIBUTE, AND SELL GAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA:
SECTION 1. That an election be held in the City of Kalispell, Flathead County,
Montana, on the 29th day of August, 1961, between the hours of 8:00 A. M. and
8:00 P. N., of said date, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified resident
freeholders of said City whose names ' appear on the last preceding tax roll of
said City of the County of Flathead, the following question:
Shall the City of Kalispell, Montana, grant to the Montana
Power Company, a corporation, Its successors and assigns,
the right., privilege, and franchise for the full period of
fifty (50) years, and thereafter until and unless otherwise
provided by ordinance, to construct, equip, lay, maintain,
and operate in, under, upon,, over, and across the streets,
avenues, alleys, highways, bridges, easements, and other
public places in the City of Kalispell, County of Flathead,
State of Montana, as now or hereafter constituted, mains,
pipes, conduits, manholes, reducing and regulating stations,
and all other appurtenances and accessories for the purpose
of transporting, conveying, distributing, supplying and
selling natural gas or artificial gas, or a mixture of
natural and artificial gas for light, heat., power, and
other purposes at Yates fixed and allowed by the Public
Service Commission of Montana.
SECTION 2. That the Clerk of said City of Kalispell, Flathead County, Montana,
be authorized to publish and post the necessary notices in accordance with the
laws of the State of Montana, and have printed necessary ballots to be used at
such election.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk be authorized to arrarge for judging at the voting
places and do all other things necessary for the holding of such electionv in
accordance with the laws of Montana.

APPROVED BY ITS,MAYOR THIS 5th DAY OF,JUNE, 1961.
