A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL GRANT FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT
WORKS UNDER 33 U. S. C. 466 dt seq.
WHEREAS, The City of Kalispell, after consideration of the various aspects of
the problem and study of available preliminary plans has determined that the
construction of additional sewage treatment plant facilities to the existing
plant is desirable and to the best public interest.
WHEREAS, The Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U. S. C. 466 seq.)
provides for grants to municipalities for construction and improvements to
sewage treatment plants, now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,
as follows:
1. That Claude Walter, Mayor of the City of Kalispell, Montana, be hereby
authorized to file on behalf of the City of Kalispell an application for a
grant to be made by the United States to the City of Kalispell, Montana, to
aid in defraying the cost of additional sewage plant facilities as follows:
Grant requested $63,000.00
Funds to be furnished
by applicant 147,000.00
Total estimated cost of Project 210,000.00
2. That if such grant be made$ The City of Kalispell shall take the necessary
steps to provide its share of the total cost of the project.
3. That said Claude Walter, Mayor, is hereby authorized to furnish such
information and take such other action as may be necessary to enable the
City of Kalispell to qualify for such grant.
4. That certified copies of this resolution be included as part of this
application for the grant requested.
