A RESOLUTION CREATING THE 1Y)SITION OF DEPUTY POLICE JUDGE, AUTPORIZ11'r
APPOIN'.DIENT BY THE KkYOR 4ND FIXING 'TITZ SAIARY 11JEREFOR.
'WHEREAS, the duly elected and acting police judge of the City of Kalispell,
Henry Madsen., is now, for some time last past has been, and will In all
Probability be for an indefinite time in the future, incapacitated from attend-
ing to his duties as such police judge by reason of illness, and
WHEREAS, it is imputative to the peace and dignity of said City and to the
welfare of its citizens that some person. shall. perform the duties of such office
until such time as said elected police judge shall resume the active managemen't
of said office, and
WHEREAS, an emergency is deemed to e%ist by reason of such premises, NOW
THEREFORE
Be It resolved that the position of deputy police Judge of the City of Kalispell
shall be and the same is hereby established and created; that the mayor of
said City shall be and he Is hereby empowered to appoint some male person of
adult years and of good moral character as Such deputy police judge; that any
person so appointed shall receive a salary of not to exceed $150.00 per month
to be paid on a pro rats, basis for the time he performs the duties of said office,,
that such person shall act only until the regularly elected police judge shall
have resumed the active management of said office; that said person shall
qualify by taking the oath of office prescribed by law for city officials and
that upon so qualifying shall have all of the powers, duties and responsibilities
presently conferred upon the regularly elected police judge,
