PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None.
OLD BUSINESS:
Beehive Homes — 242 Stillwater; new assisted living/memory care unit. Updated plans have been
received. Public Works will be reviewing these. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Calaway Apartments — 1079 N Meridian; new apartment complex. Jentz had sent out a letter
requesting them to respond to the Public Works infrastructure design issues or Building Permit issues
by July Ist or their CUP would be void and they'll have to start over. Public Works received a
response from them yesterday with a full set of plans and an updated report. This is being reviewed.
This will be on the agenda for next week.
91/93/97 Financial Drive — three new four-plexes CUP. Public Works is still reviewing this.
Building is still waiting on something from them that will include fire walls for their building. This
will be on the agenda for next week.
Captain's Marine — Hwy 93 S; new retail building. Public Works will be reviewing these soon.
Fincher received info on the ROW landscaping, but stated that he did not receive any sort of corridor
plan to review. Sorensen stated that we don't have any adopted entry corridor standards. The
Building plans review is close to completion. This will be on the agenda for next week.
Canvas Church — 255 Summit Ridge; expansion of existing church. This is passed through Site
Review.
NEW BUSINESS:
Treeline Village (f/k/a Weber Apartments, f/k/a Bloomstone) — Treeline Road; eight 12-plex
apartments. Public Works has not received a full submittal yet. This will be on the agenda for next
week.
Town Pump — 859 West Reserve Drive; convert existing church to convenience store/gas
station/casino. Plans have been received in Building and in Public Works. This will be on the agenda
for next week.
KRMC — 310 Sunnyview; ER Addition/Renovation. The pedestrian path needs to go around the
east side of the building before this can go forward. Potential issues could be the street grading at the
corner, stormwater location, and a sidewalk to sidewalk crosswalk. This will be on the agenda for
next week.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Nothing new for July. In August, there will be another Agency
Exemption for the County near Legands Field. There is a house they have purchased and will be
using it for storage for their shop/garage employees. It is right next to the vacant lot that they had
done an Agency Exemption earlier in the year and decided not to use.
OTHER REPORTS:
Spring Prairie Phase IV Hotel Pad— preliminary comments on this 4-story building. This will be
located in the NW corner of Spring Prairie Phase IV. This is across from Costco and Fire Station 62.
McIntyre asked if an approach that connects to Kidsports on the west side needs to be there, as
Blumenstein had included that in their planning documents. Fincher suggested he speak with Dan
Johns (with Kidsports) about it. McIntyre asked about the access for the overall development. Will
sidewalks and boulevards be on each individual lot? Sorensen stated that regarding the internal road,
it was intended to be constructed to street standards, but that the PUD did not provide details in this
regard. He suggested they contact Nygren or Jentz. McIntyre noted that they have right in, right out
access off of Reserve Loop. He doesn't feel that this works very well, but wasn't able to come up
with a good alternative other than to make it an entrance only. Pros and cons were discussed.
Sorensen suggested they move the landscape bulb. Dedman noted that the fire trucks will not be able
to get in with sharp turns. He will send McIntyre specs on the fire truck. Haskins also noted that the
road does not look like it will function very well, and Sorensen stated that both accesses are
problematic. Further discussion was held regarding possible options. Blumenstein told McIntyre that
they will have access to the pad at the end of August.
KRMC Pedestrian Path — A plan has been submitted that includes a portion of the path that will be
done now, which runs from the parking lot south of Brendan House to the north end of Brendan
House. Solicitations for bids for this portion of the path are due in the middle of July. The overall
conceptual plan will be submitted soon so the City will have something on file to comply with the
requirement that would allow the ER to go forward. It will show how they are going to connect to
2
Claremont and further up to Sunnyview, and address the north and south ends. McIntyre is also
working on the parking expansion to the north, which will be coming in before the end of July.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:52 a.m.
