RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF Tlm, CITY OF
KALISPELL, AND DESCRIBE THE BOUNDARIES THERFQF:
BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIF� CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL:
SECTION 1. TMT IT IS TIM INTENTION OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA,
to extend the corporate limits of said City and to amend Section 247 of the
revised ordinances of the City of Kalispell of 1947, prescribing the limits
of said City.
SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be included within the
corporate limits of said City are more particularly described as follows:
Mocks Tluee and Four of Ashley Townsite,
Block One A of Duncan Addition -
as shown by the map or plat thereof on file and of record in -the Office of
the Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana.
SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries of the City of Kalispell
as above described will. be to the best interest of the City of Kalispell and
the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts above
described and to be included %!.thin the limits of said City and further that
such additions -will not materially mar the symmetry and order of the City of
Kalispell, and that such tracts proposed to be included within the corporate
limits of said City are contiguous to said 'City.
SECTION 4. That said tracts of land as above described and to be included
within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell as aforesaid, are duly
and regularly platted as required by law.
SECTION 5. That on the 2nd day of April, 1956, at 7;3() P* M*� in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Kalispell, at a regular meeting thereof,
the City Coimcil will pass on all protests that may be made against the extension
of these boundaries. The closing time for the filing of these protests is hereby
declar6d. to be March 28, 1956, at 5:00 otclock P, me
SECTION 7. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper
notice of the passage of this resolution by publication as required by law,
such publication to be made in the Kalispell News -Farm Journal, a weekly news-
paper published in the City of Kalispell, Mont.
