Resolution 2286 - Resolution of Intent - AnnexationM RESOLUTION NO. 2286 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND TIM CORPORATE LIMS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AND DESCRIBE THE L30UNDARIES TMUZEOF. M' IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TffE CITY OF KALISPELL: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City of Kalispell, Montana, to extend the corporate limits of said City and to amend Section 247 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell of 1947, proscribing the limits of said City. SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be included within the corporate limits of said City are more particularly described as follows: A tract of land lying in Section 1, Township 28 North, Range 22 West, M. P. M., being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 1, Township 28 North, Range 22 West, M. F. M., proceed thence N. 890001 W., 344.3 feet, more or less, to the We&terly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 93; thence along said right of way line S. 00006, W., 1866.3 feet to a point; thence along a curve of 2944.8 feet radius to the left 391, 7 feet to an iron pin; which is the true point of beginning-, thence S. 820101 W. hc)4.o feet to an iron pin; thence along a curve to the left of radius 412.0 feet, 93.8 feet to an iron pin; thence N. 70501 W., 292.0 feet to an iron pini thence S. 870371 W., 340.7 feet to an iron pin; thence along a curve to the right of radius 703.0 feet, 362.8 feet the chord of which bears S. 130031 E., 358.7 feet to an iron pin; thence s. 1644, w. lo6.8 feet to an iron pin; thence along a curve to the right of radius 352.0 feet, 103.5 feet, the chord of which bears S. 810571 151, W., 103.2 feet to an iron pin; thence N. 890 371 W-P 59.0 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 10441 W., 640.1 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 880161 E., 134.4 feet to an iron pin; thence along, a curve to the right of radius 357.0 feet, 130.4 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 670201 E., 51.7 feet to an iron pin; thence along a curve to the left of radius 407.0 feet, 163,4 feet to an iron pin; thence N. 890401 F., 511.4 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 2 46t 3011 W., 490.8 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 8904o, w. 46.o feet to an iron pin; thence IAOU S* 00201 E,3 173*0 feet to an iron pin; thence N. 890251 E., 208.7 feet, more or less to the intersection with the Westerly right of way line of a county road known as Meridian Road, an iron pin; thence N. 2046' 301' R., along said right of way 876.8 feet, more or less to the intersection with the Westerly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 93 an iron pin; thence along said right of way line N. 15046s W., 378.7 feet to an iron pin; thence along said right of way line along a curve to the right of radius 29414.8 feet, 423.7 feet to the true point of beginning, containing in all 26.49 acres, more or less; and A tract of land lying in Section 6, Township 28 North, Range 21 West, M. P. 1-1.1 being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the West quarter corner of Section 6, Township 28 North, Range 21 West, M. P. M. proceed thence S. 20W30" W., 409.0 feet to the West right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 93 an iron pin; thence along said right of way line S. 15 46t E., 94.4 feet to the intersection of said highway right of way line and the east right of way line of a County Road known at Meridian Road an iron pin, the true point of beginning; thence along said highway right of way line S. 150461 E... 2123.7 feet to the intersection of said right of way and the south line of said Section 6; thence S. 89()171 W., 62.1 feet along the south line of said Section 6 to an iron pin; thence N. 15046' W., 1928.8 feet to the east right of way line of a county road known as Meridian Road an iron pin; thence North 2046'30't E., 188.6 feet along said right'of way line to the point of beginning, containing in all 2.79 acres, more or less. SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries of the City of Kalispell as above described will be to the best interest of the City of Kalispell and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts above described and to be included within the limits of said City and further that such additions will not materially mar the symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell and that such tracts proposed to be included within the corporate limits of said City are contiguous to said City. SE�CTION 4. That, said tracts of land as above described and to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell as aforesaid, are duly and regularly platted as required by law. SECTION 5. That on the hth day of June, 1956, at 7:30 F. M., in the Coancil. Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Kalispell, at a regular meeting thereof, the City Council will pass on all protests that may be made against the extension of these boundaries. The closing ,, time for the filing of these protests is hereby declared to be May 31, 1956 at 5:00 o'clock P. M. SECTION 6. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by publication as required by law, such publication to be made in the Kalispell News -Farm Journal, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Kalispell, Montana.
