RESOLUTION NO. 2215
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND 'MAT IT IS NECE SSOY To
11kKE EXPENDITURES IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNT PROVIDED 13Y ITIE CURRENT BUDGET FOR
'ME SEWER FUND.
WEEREAS: The Sewer Fund BWget for 1951-52, due to emergency warrants caused
by the flooding of Spring Creek in 1950-51 was fixed at a figure far below the
actiml minimum cost of maintaining this department; and,
WHEREAS: it was necessary to maintain this department in order to safeguard
the health of this community and,
WHEREAS: it was necessary to make expenditures in excess of the amount
allowed in the budget for the fiscal year 1951-52,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL THAT
tIREASON OF THE FACTS AS 11EREINABOVE STATED an emergency is hereby declared
to exist under the provisions of the law of the State of Montana in such case
made and provided, and that expenditures in the amount of $1036.26 in excess
of the current budget for the Sewer Fund of the City of Kalispell is hereby
authorized for the purposes hereinabove set forth, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to draw emergency warrants against said Fund, and the City Treasurer
Is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in the said Fund
that is available; and if there by not sufficient money in such fund to pay
such warrants, then the same shall be registered and bear interest and be called
for payment in the manner provided by law for other City Warrants.
