Resolution 2209 - Budget - Emergency - Street Fund387' RES01"UTION NO. 2209 A RESOLUTION DECLhRING TH1,T AN EMERG.'.."NCY EXISTS AND TEAT IT IS NECESSARY TO IMAKE EXPENDITURES IN EXCESS OF '11iE AMOUNT, -PROVIDED BY THE CURRENT BUDGET FOR THE STREET FUITI. WER EAS: By reason of the unusually heavy fall of sno�v in December 1951 and January 19,�2, and the necessity to 11ceep the streets and alleys clear of snow so as to permit the usual flow of traffic, to enable the fire department of the City to travel as occasion might demand, and to permit garbage collection thr�)ugh the alleys all of the funds budIvIeted to the Street Fund have been expenled; and, VVIIEREAS: it remains necessary to koep the mJnimum street crew an the payroll in order to cont:�nue to maintain the streets I alloys, and gutters, to permit traffic, and L'o prevent floods, and to protect the paved and oiled str 00 ts, and there are no funds to defray such proposed expenditures, and emergn-ncy actually oxists, THEPf'�FORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL THAT BE, REASON 014' THE FACTS AS ErERE�NABOVE STAT-RD an emergency is hereby declarod to exist under the provisions of the law of the State of Montana in such case made and provided, and that exrenditures in the amc)unt of $11 000.00 in excess of the current'budget for the Street Fund of 1he City of Kalispell is hereby authorized for the pur��osos hereinabove set forth, and the City Clerk is hereby authoriz d to draw emergency warrants ap ,,ainst said Fund, and the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in the said Fund that is available and if there be not suf ficient money in such fund to pay such -,-.-arr;�tnts, then the same shall be registered arid bear interest and be called for payment in the manner provided by law for other City lfiarr�ants.
