Resolution 2174 - Emergency - Budget - Street FundRESOLUTION NO. 2174 A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN MIERGENCY EXISTS AND THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE EXPENDITIMS IN EXCESS OF TIE AMOUNT PROVIDED BY THE CURRENT BUDGET FOR THE- VVAREHOUSE DEPARTMET%ri OF THE STREET FUND% WHEREAS, the sale of property to Flathead County High School nec- essitated the erection of repair shops and WHEREAS it was deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of the 6ity of Kalispell to erect a storage building for the housing of equipment and 1111EREAS, no appropriation was provided in the current budget for this purpose and IMMEAS, proper notice was given and scaled proposals were publicly opened and read on October 5. 1949 and WHEREAS the lowest responsible bid of Bailey Brothers in the amount of $267�.00 was accepted,and the contract let THEREFORE BB IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL THAT BY REASON OF TIE FACTS AS TIEREINABOVE STATED AN M11ERGENCY Is HEREBY DECLArZD to exist.under the provisions of Section 5083-8 of the Revised Codes of Montana 1935 and an expendit'are of $2,675.00 in excess of the current budget for the lVarehouse Pepartment of the Street Fund is hereby authorized for the purpose herein set forth, that pmergency warrants be dra= against the Street Fund, that the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in the Street Fund that is available and if there is not sufficient money in the Street Fund to pay such warrants then the same shall be registered and bear interest and be called for pay- ment in the manner provided by law for other City Viarrants.
