RESOLUTION NO. 2171
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF KALISPELL AND DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVI',D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA
SECTION L. That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Kalispell Montana, to extend the corporate limits and
to amend Section 347 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Kalispell of 1947.
SECTION 2. That the proposed additional area to be included
within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
shall be more particularly described as follows: Beginning
at the intersection of the existing North City limits and the
East line of Section 7-T28N-R21W;
Then Northerly along the East line of 6ec. 7-T28N-R21W
to the NEcorner of See. 7-T 28 N- R 21 W;
Then by the shortest distance to the center line of the
main channel of the 'tillwater River;
Then Northerly and Westerly along the Center line of ther
Stillwater River to Its intersection with the Wpst line of the
NE 1/4 of the BE 1/4 of Section 6-T 28 N- R 21 IV;
Then South along the West line of the NE 1/4 of the SE
1/4 of See. 6"T 28 N- R 21 vv; to the North West corner of the BE
1/4 of the BE 1/4 of the BE 1/4 of See. 6-T 28N-R 21 w;
Then West along the North line of the SW 1/4 of the SE
1/4 of See. 6-T 28 N-R21V? to the North East Corner of the SW 1/4
of the SE.1/4 of Sec. 6-T 28 N-R 21W;
Then South along the West line of the SW 1/4 of the BE
1/4 of see. 6-T 28 N- R 21 11 to the Nort,�, West Corner of the NE
1/4 of See. 7-T 28 N- R 21 W;
Then West along the North line of Sec. 7-T 28 N- R 21 W
to its intersection with the West Right of Way line of U.S Highway
Number 93;
Then Easterly along the existing City Limits to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries as described
above will be to the best internsts of the "ity of Kalispell and
the inhabitantsihereof and of the inhavitants of the contiguous
tracts of parcels as described and further that it will not mat-
erially mar the symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell.
NECTION.4. That on the 6th day of February, 1950, at the Council
Chambers In the City Hall of the City of Kalis ell, Montana, at
7:30 o'clock P.M., a regular meeting.the City �ouncil will pass
upon all protests that may be made against the extQnsion of these
boundaries the closing time for the filing of these protests is
hereby deciared to be February 6, 1950, at 5:00 o'clock P.M.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and d1rected to give
the proper nitice of the passage of this resolution by publication
as required by law, such publication to be made in the Daily Inter
Lake, a daily newspaper published in the City of Kalispell, Moktana.
