RESOL�,JTION OF INT�...NTION TO CREATE SPECIAL I1111PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 284
BE IT RESOLVED 13�� 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELLI 11ONTANA
SECTION 1. That it it the intention of the City Council of the
City of Kali -spell, Montana to create a S.I.D. whereby designated
as Special Improvement "istrict No. 284 and said impTover.7ents to
be for the purpose of widening Main Street by removing the outside
4 feet of sidewalk and curb on the East side of the street from the
South line of Railorad Street, South to the S3uth property line
of lots 20 Block 36, a distance of approximatoly 135 feet.
SbCTION 2. That the general character of the improvemats to be
made in said propos d Special Improvement District is the removal
of the existing curb and adjacent 4 feet of sidewalk, the installation
of a concrele curb in its new Location, the installation of a concrete
apron between the new curb and the existing gutter nnd theremoval
and replacement of existing parking meters.
SECTION 1. That the approximate cost ofaid Improvement is hereby es-
timated to be $600.00.
SECT10N 4. That the entire cost of the�-xpense ofsach improvements
shall be assessed against each lot within such district to be
assessed for thal, pa-t of the whole cost which its arpa ears to the
area of the entire district.
SECTION 5. That the assessment shall be paid for in three
equal annual installments hereby extended over a T)eriod of three
years. Said assessment shall constitute a fund to be known as
Special Improvement District Fund No. 2�4.
SECTION 6. ThatEjid improvements shall be paid for in Special
Im(,rovement District warrants issued against sail district in the
sum of $100.00 each, bearinv irterest at either 4% or 6% per
annum from the date of registration until called for redemption or
pnid in full..
SECTION 7. That on the Ilth clay of April 1949 at the Council Chambers
in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell at 7:30 o'clock P.11.
the City Council will hear nnd ' pass upon all protests that may be made
against the making of such improvements or the creation of such
district.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk is hereby auth rized and directed to
give the proper notice of the passa?e of thisTesolution by
publication and mailing as equired by law, such publicatlon to be
made in the Kal-ispell News, a weekly newspaper published in the
City of Kalispell, '�Jontana.
