SUBJECT: Airport Tax Increment District
Budget Amendment for FY2011
MEETING DATE: December 20, 2010
BACKGROUND: A public hearing will be held this evening and a resolution proposed
to amend the City's fiscal 2011 budget for the Airport Tax Increment Fund. The Council recently
approved a redevelopment project for Avail-TVN to bore under the highway and install fiber
optics on the westside of Hwy 93 South. At the time the budget was adopted all redevelopment
appropriations were removed. It is necessary to amend the budget to move forward with this
project.

RESOLUTION
THE CITY YALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN THE 2010-2011 BUDGET ADOPTED BY
WHEREAS, on August 16, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution 5444 adopting the annual
appropriations of the City of Kalispell for fiscal year 2010--2011; and
WHEREAS, in the budget adopted by the City of Kalispell for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, certain
detailed and itemized estimates of expenditures were not included in the operation of
the South Kalispell/Airport TIF District for the 2010--2011 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Avail-TVN has been approved for a redevelopment project to run a fiber optic line
under Highway 93 South; and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on December 20, 2010, the City Council did consider all
objections made to said budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF
KAL.ISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Amendments to the 2010-2011 fiscal budget as follows:

SECTION II. That on December 20, 2010 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council
authorized and directed the Finance Director to increase the
appropriations.
