RESOLUTION NO. 2126
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF KALISPELL9 AND DISCRIBING THE BOUNDARI�,.S THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL:,
=11ON 1. That it, it the intention of the City of Kalispell,
Montana, to extend the corporate llmits of said city and to amend Section
247 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Kalispell of 1947, prescribing
the limits of said City.
SECTION 2 That the propsed additional area to be included within
the corponate limits of xkid city of more particularly described
as Meridian Addition as shown by the map or plat thereof now
on file and of record in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder
of Flathead County, Montana.
SECTION �, That the extention of the boundaries of the City of
Ka-1-1-spell as above described will be to the best interest of the City
of Kalispell and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the
contiguous tract or parcel above described and to be included within
the limits of said City and further that such including and additions
will not materially mar the symnetery and order of the City of Kalispell
and that such tract proposed to be included within the corporate limits
of said City is contiguous to said City.
SECTIO4 4, That said tract or parcel of land as above described and
to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell
as foresaid is duly and regularly platted as required by laws said
platting and a,rangement thereof h-ving been accepted and approved
by the City Council of the City of Kalispell as Meridian Addition to
Kalispell.
That on the 4th day of October, 1948, at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Kalispell, at 7;30 P.M.
a r . egular m eting thereof, the dity Council will pass on all protests that
for a period of twenty days after the first publication of the notice
herein provided for the City Clerk of the City of Kalispell will
receiveeKpressions of approval or disapproval in writing of such
proposed extention of boundaries of the City of Kalispell from
resident free -holders of the territory proposad to be embraced therein,
the closing time for the'iling of such w3ltten expressions being hereby
declared to be the 28th day of September, 1948 at 5:00 o'clock P.M.
SECjjQj 6. The City Clerk of the City of Kalispell is hereby authorized
and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this
ResoltLtion by publication as required by law, such publication to be made
in the Kalispell News, a weekly news publication in Kalispell, Montana.
Passed b the City Council and Approved by the Mayor of the City
of Kalispell this 7th day of September, 1948.
