A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF XALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN
THE 2001-2002 BUDGET ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in the budget adopted by the City of Kalispell for the
2001-2002 fiscal year, certain detailed and itemized
estimates of expenditures have proven inaccurate in the
operation of said Funds for the 2001-2002 fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. On the 20th day of May, 2002 at 7:00 o'clock
P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 312
1st Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana, the City
Council of the City of Kalispell shall hold a
Public Hearing on the following amendments to
the 2001-2002 fiscal budget:
1. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Municipal Court to pay public defender fees in the amount
of $10,000. Add to line item 1000-406-410360-351.
2. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Fire Department to pay fire overtime in the amount of
$20,000. Add to line item 1000-416-420400-121.
3. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Airport Fund to pay the costs of maintenance by the
Street department this winter in the amount of $1,500.
Add to line item 2170-430-430310-367.
4. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Downtown TIF budget to appropriate all available funds.
This is necessary to allow contracts to be let before the
sunset of the district. Add to line item 2180-470230-640
$185,328.
5. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Light Maintenance Fund to pay for electric costs of the
district in the amount of $20,000. Add to line item
2400-410-430263-341.
6. Increasing the appropriations and expenditures for the
Self -insured Health Insurance Fund to pay claims. Raising
appropriations to the aggregate stop loss amount which is
the maximum we could pay this fiscal year. Add to line
item 6050-403-500620-354, $391,000.
SECTION II. That notice of the passage of this resolution
shall be published pursuant to Section 7-1-
4127, MCA.
