RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF AN AIRPORT BEACON FROM THE MONTANA
AERONAUTICS COTTIISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA AND ITS INSTALLATION BY SAID
AERONAUTICS COMMISSION AT THE KALISPELL CITY AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kalispell, Flathead County, Mont-
ana, has applied to the Montana Aeronautics Commission of the State of
Montana for a surplus airway beacon to be modified and installed on the
Kalispell City Airport by said Aeronautics Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kalispell believes the public
safety, service and welfare can be advanced by the acquisition of an airway
beacon and locating it on the Kalispell City Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kalispell has leased the Kalispell
City Airport to the Kalispell Airport Association, Inc., which corporation
operates said airport;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Kalispell,
Flathead County, Montana, as follows:
1. That said City Council hereby authorized the Kalispell Airport
Association, Inc, to provide and pay the costs of electrical power installa-
tion to the airport beacon site and to maintain and Pay the cost of mainten-
ance of the airport beacon, in the manner and form applied for and as ap-
proved by the Montana Aeronautics Commission of the State of Montana, and
in accordance with the requirements of the Nontana Aeronautics Commission.
2. That said City Council hereby authorized the Kalispell Airport
Association, Inc. to provide and pay the cost of utilities for the operation
of the airport beacon in compliance with the appropriate F.F.A. regulations
applying to the operation of an airport beacon as "True Light".
3. That said City Council hereby agrees that in the event of default
on the part of the Kalispell Airport Association, Inc., the City Council
shall either accept all financial responsibility connected therewith or
the hontana Aeronautics Commission niayj at It's option remove the airport
beacon for its own use, interests and purposes.
