Sorensen, Chairman Kathy Nelson, Recording Secretary GUESTS: James Freyholtz (Montana Department of Transportation); Toby McIntyre (Jackola Engineering); and John Flink (owner of J2 Office Products). HEAR THE PUBLIC: None. PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None. OLD BUSINESS: Canvas Church — 255 Summit Ridge; expansion of existing church. This is a 6,000 sq. ft. addition off the front that is basically filling in some interior space in the building. Public Works needs more information on stormwater. They are meeting with the City tomorrow. This will be on the agenda for next week. NEW BUSINESS: None. PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Flathead High School/Elrod Elementary School Residential Parking District — There was a Work Session held on Tuesday night, October 28th. Discussions continued regarding the parking district and they are getting closer to a resolution. Captain's Marine — This will be going before the City Council on Monday night. OTHER BUSINESS: J2 Office Products — 700 Sunset Blvd. — Their addition will be a stand-alone building, 6,480 sq. ft., used for storage. There is an amendment to the zoning to allow something like this under the office supply use. They will leave the existing building and the existing parking of 10 spaces intact. One of the parking spaces in the southeast corner of the existing building will go away, and there will be another parking space put in the corner next to the new building. There is one handicapped space. Loading will be on the east side of the property. A screening fence will be put on that east boundary. They plan to bind the two parcels together. The DOT water line is coming through Wyoming. They will be tying into the City's line. They plan to leave the existing approach. McIntyre is still working on their final water quality. The plate height is in the 16'-18' range; the roof structure with a flat roof is 4'-5'. The building may need to be sprinklered because of the use. Flink would like to get the cement pad poured this fall. Chick-Fil-A — Review of new plans with preliminary comments. They have adjusted their access, drive-thru, pedestrian access, and parking, with a 20' landscape buffer. Public Works would like to see some utility plans. They plan to go forward with this in 2016. First Avenues East and West — Freyholtz updated everyone that this MDT project is done for this year. It will begin again in the spring. The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
