A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND THAT IT IS
NECESSARY TO MAKE EXPENDITURES IN ECXESS OF THE AMOUNT PROVIDED
BY THE CURRENT BUDGET FOR THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS.
Wheras, because of the increase in salaries and because of the change
in classification of the City of Kalispell requireing additional
Aldermen, the City Council exceeded Its budget in the amount of $327.00
and,
Whereas* because of an increase in salary the Police Court budget was
exceedeA in the amount of $19.71 and,
Whereas; because of the failure of the Mark -Time Parking Meters to
operate successfully it was necessary to make a change, this budget
vAs exceeded in the amount of $3286-03 and,
Whereas; because of the extremely long and severe winter with an ex-
cessive amount of snowfall and because of the increase in wages, the
Street budget was exceeded in the amount of $7084,77 and,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL THAT
BY REASON OF THE FACTS AS HEREINABOVE STATED AN EMERGENCY IS
HEREBY DECLARED to exist under the provisions of Section 5083.8
of the Revised Codes of the State of Montana, 1935, and an
expenditure of $36 34 2 in the excess of the current budget for
the General Fund- PON.77 for the Street Fund; $10718.09 Iss
hereby authorizei for the purpose herein set forth and emergency
warrants be drawn against the several funds and the City Treasurer
is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with aiy money
inihe several funds mentioned that is available and if there is
not sufficient money in such funds to pay such warrants, then
the same shall be registered and bear interest and be called
for payment in the manner provided by law for other City Warrants.
