Resolution 1998 - Resolution of Intent - Extend Corporate LimitsRESOLUTION NO. 1228 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA; SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Kalispell Montana to extend the corporate limits and to amend Sect3on 232 ol the Revised Ordinances P of the City of Kalispell of 1928. SECTION 2,, That the proposed additional area to be included witlin the corporate limits of the City of Kalispell, Montana, shall be more partic7,ilarly described as follows: Beginning at a point where the North bound- ary line of Washington Street intersects the West bound- ary line of Second Avenue West North; thence in a North- erly direction along the West boundary line of Second Avenue West North to an intersection with the North boundary line of Wyoming Street; thence in an Lasterly direction along the North boundary line of Wyoming Street to an intersection of the North boundary line of 0yoming Street, extended Easterly wit'-, the Western bank of the place known as the Stillwater Slough; thence in a North -Westerly direction along said slough bank to an intersection with the North boundary line of the North West quarter of the North East Quarter of Section Seven (7) Township twenty-eight (28) North, Range twenty-one (211 West A0,1; thence West along said Northern boundary line to an intersection of the West boundary line of North Main Street extended; thence South along said Western boundary to an intersection with the North bound- ary line of the SWINEJ of See. 71 twp 28 N., R. 21 W; thence West along said boundary line and extended along the North boundary line of the SEjNWj of Sec. 7, Twp. 28 N.1 R. 21 W to an intersection with the West boundary line of U. S. Highway No. 93; thence in a North -Westerly direction along said boundary line to an intersection with the West boundary line of t�,e NEjNWj- of Sec. 7, Twp. 2F N;1 R. 21 W.; thence South along said boundary line and xtended along the West boundary line of the SE-jNW-j of See. 7, Twp. 28 N., R. 21 W. to an intersection with the North boundary line of Wyoming Street extended westerly; thence in a westerly direction along the North boundary line of Wyoming Street so extended to an inter- section with the East boundary line of the County high- way; thence South along said boundary line to an inter- section with the North boundary line of Washington Street; thence easterly along the North boundary line of Washington Street to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the extension of the boundaries as described above will be to the best interests of the City of Kalispell and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts or parcels as described and further that it will not materially mar the symmetry and order of the City of Kalispell. SECTION 4. That on the 3rd day of June, 1946, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell, Montana, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., a,regular meeting, the City Council will pass upon all protests that may be made against the extension of these bound- aries, the closing time for the filing of these protests is hereby declared to be May 15, 1946, at 5:00 o'clock P. M. SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by publication and mailing as required by law, such publication to be made in the Kalispell Times, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Kalispell, Montana.
