Resolution 1739 - Mill Levy - Emergency WarrantsRESOLUTION No. 1739 A RFSOI,17TION DECLARING IT NECESSARY FOR THE CITF COUNCIL TO LEVY A TAX OF TWO MILLS T�MON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF KALISPELL FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MONEY WITH WHICH TO PAY THE EMERGENCY WARRANTS ISSUED UNDER AND BY VIRTUE OF THE PROVISIONS OF RFSOLTTTION NUMBER 1632, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 18th DAY OF APRIL, 1938. BE, IT RESOLVED 'BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISP-q,:LLj1ONTANA- Section 1. THAT WTiFREA3 on the 18th day of April, 1938, the City Council of the City of Kalispell unanimously adopted a resolution providing for the issuance of emergency relief warrants in payment of materials, equipment, rentals, supplies and supvervision issued in the completion of the Municipal Golf Course; that at the time of the adoption of said resolution It was supposed that the sin of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), together with other mnnies ex- pected to be received by the City of Kalispell would be sufficient to complete the Golf Course; that the City has received no funds other than those derived from the two mil levy provided for in said resolution and there are now outstanding warrants against the said Emergency Fund in the Sum of approximately $18,625.00 and no money in said Emergency Fund with which to meet the same. Section 2. That by reason of the conditions as set forth in paragraph one hereof, it is necessary, in order to maintain the faith and credit and financial standing of the City of Kalispell, that a tax levy be made upon the Taxable property within the City of Kalispell for the year 1940 in the amount of two (2) mills, and the proceeds thereof placed in said Emergency Fund. Section 3. That the said Resolution No.1632 be and the same is hereby amended in so far as the amounts stated therein are necessary to the payment of the construction of the said project described in said resolution.
