there has been an unprecedented fall of sncwv which blocked the streets
and avenues of the City to suoh an extent that traffic was obstructed
Rnd the use of the streets made dangerous, and in order to provide for
the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City and to pe�rmit the
free passage of the streets and avenues of the City it was necessary to
employ a large number of laborers in the removal of' the snow from the
streets and avenues of the City, all of which WaS unforeseen nt the
time of the preparin&�- of the annual budget and was far in excess, of
any araotint used for such purposes in previous years; and

the streets have been used and that it has been necessary to expend
ov,er and above the amunt provided by the carrent budget the slim of

that be reason of the facts as horeinbefore stated that an emargency
is hereby declared to exist and under the provi��J_ons or the secona
p�ragr�,,�h or chapter le.1 or the Laws of the Twenty-second Legisiative
Assembly of the otate of �1,ontana, and t1a t expenditures in excess of the
current budget of the City of Kali spoil for street purposes be exceeded
in the sum of 32,100.00 for the purposes herein set forth, and that
amergency warrants be drawn against said 6treet and Alley fund and
that the City 11'reaslirer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants
when funds for that purpose are available and if funds are not available
then the same shall be registered, bear interest ana be called for pay-
ment In the manner pnovlded by law for other city warrants.
,�Ihis being an emergency resolution by reason of thefacts as hera-in
sit forth, 'the same shall take effect and be in full force and effect
i�xiediately upT-,n its passage and approval.
The foregoing resolution unanimously adopted by a vote of all
members present of the City council of t..,jq City of Kalispell at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the 7th day off April, )�36.
