Resolution 1629 - Acknowledge Gift of Griffin Park3-13 RESOLUTION No. 1629 A RESOLUTION TO ACKNOWLEDGE GIFT OF GRIFFIN PARK TO THE CITY TY -THE HEIRS OF WALTER H. GRIFFIF WTH7REA3, on the 22nd day of April, 1929, a Gift Deed was granted to the City of Kalispell by the heirs of Walter H. Griffin, to 9lock 23 of the Original Townsite of Kalispell, known as the Ball Park; and 1,71iPEREAS, the City by neglect or oversight has failed to record official acceptance or recognition there- of and to express to the heirs of Walter 1-1. Griffin and to C. H. Foot, Trustee, the deep appreciation of the City Administration and the Citizens of Kalispell for this splen- did contribution to its civic good; and WHEREAS, Walter H. Griffin during his lifetime devoted great energy and the benefit of his splendid ability to the development of this City which he loved; THEREFORE, in recognition of his splendid service to Kalispell and his many contributions to its good, and particularly for the gift of the Ball Park; BE TT RESOLVED, that the Ball Park, heretofore known as Griffin Park, be, and the same is hereby named the '.%lter 'I!. Griffin Park and that a suitable marker be placed at the entrance thereof dedicatiT, the Park to Walter 11. Griffin and that a vote of appreciation be extended to his heirs and particularly to C. H.
