Resolution 1624 - Emergency - Park BudgetRESOLUTION No. 1624 A RESOLUTION D74,CLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE EXPENDITURES IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNT PROVIDED BY TTT1F CURRENT BUDGET FOR PARK PURPOSES. BE IT RESOLVED BY TT-1-9 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA: WHEREAS, there has been expended by the City of Kalispell and the Works Progress Administration of the United 6tates several thousand dollars for the beautification and general development of Woodland Park, the construction of a swiraming pool therein for the benefit of the youth of the City of Kalispell, and providing a play ground and recreation spot for the people of the City of Kalispell, and WHEjREAS, it is necessary in order to fully complete the plans outlined therefor to expend additional money, and whereas the ex- penditure of additional money by the City of Kalispell and the Works Progress Administration of the United 41tates will provide labor for a large number of the unemployed people of Kalispell and immediate vicinity; and whereas the completion thereof will be of material benefit to the people of the City of Kalispell for Rll future time; and whereas, the amount provided by the current budget for park ex- penaltures is insufficient to -meet the requirements necessary to fully complete said project and there are no further or other funds evailable,therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, that by reason of the facts as hereinbefore stated an emergency Is hereby declared to exist under the provisions of Section 5083.8 of the Re-` viued Codes of Montana, 1935, and the expenditures in excess of the current budget of the City for park purposes be exceeded in the sum of Two Thousand Dollars and that emergency warrants be drawn against the said Park Fund for the purposes herein set forth; and that the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants with any money in any fund available for that purpose and if there is ,not sufficient money available to pay such warrants then the same shall be registered, bear interest and called for payment in the same manner as provided by law for other registered City warrants. This being an emergency resolution as herein set forth and -it being necessary for the restoration to a condition of usefulness of public property that the same shall take effect and be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
