RESOLUTION OF INTIMTION TO CRERATE SPECIAL IMPROVE11'INT DISTRICT NO.
222.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CT-TY COUNCIL OF T,l�-Y, CITY 01" KALISPELL, MONTANA:
Seotion 1. That i�t is the intention of the City Council of' the
Ciyt of Kalispell to cx�eate a special improvement district, hereby
designated as Special Improvement District No. 222, and the boundaries
.)f said proposed special impi,ovenent district are hereby declared to
be as follows: beginning, at a point which is tLe intersection of t'he
centerline of the cC-1ey between Pourth Aven.�,�e East and Fifth Avenue
E'ast, thence in a southerly direction along the centeTline of Seventh
Street; thence in an easterly direction a ong the centerline of Seventh
Street to its intersection wi�lh the west property line of the alley
betwuen Fifth Avenue East and Sixth Avenue East; thence in a nor therly
direction along the west property line of this alley which is 142 feet
east of the east property line of' Fifth Avenue East and parallel thereto,
througyh Blocks 202, 198, 197, 194, and 193 to the intersection
of this property line with the centerline of Second Street; thence in a
westerly direction along'tho centerline of SecondStreet to the place
of beginning.. All Blocks being within the City Limits of the City of
M,a,lispell, Montana.
Section 2. That the gejj0j'L�.l charactey of the improvements to be

made in said proposed Special Improvement District is as follovis, to -wit:

Wearing Surface on a one and one-half inch bitwiiinous base from the
centerline of Second Street to the centerline of Seventh Street and tip,

Section 3. That the approximate cost of said improvements is
$18,900.
Section 4. That the entire cost and expenee of such improvements
incl,cidin'L.- street and alley intersections, shall be assessed against
'the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within, such district
to be assessed for that part of the whole cost which its area bears
to the area of' the entire district exclusive bf streets, alloys and
public places.
Section That said assessment shall be "aid fcr in fifteen
o�quzal annual installments hereby ext.ended over a period of' 15 years.
Said assessment shall constitute a fund to be known as Special Improve-
ment District Fund No. 222.
Section 6. That said improvements shall be paid f'o2-,, a Special
Improvement District Coupon Warrants issixed agairst aaid dis trict in
the sum of' $100.00 each, bearin�,,,- interest at 6 per Cent. -per annum
front the date of registration until called for redemption or paid in full
interest payable annually on the first day of January of each year,
payalbe 15 years from date ond redeemable at &ny time there are funds
to tbe credit of' such Improvement District Fund available therefor;
the interest coupons attached to such warrants to bear the fac-simile
signatures of the Mayor and Clerk.
Section 7. That on the 25th day of August 1924, at the Council
Uhambers in the City Hall of the City of Kalispell, kentana, at 5:00
P. M. a regular mecting, the City Council. will hear and pasqupon all
protests that may be made against the w,,Akjyj�, of such improveluents or
the creation of such diotrict, provided that said -protests are made
ih writing within fifteen days after the first publication of this
notice.
Section 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
give the Proper notice of the passage Of' this zesolution by
publication aTjd 11,Ljilind as :requi:red by law, such publication to 'be
made in the The K,,_lispell Times a weekly newspaper published in the
City Of Kalisvcll.
