Resolution 0988 - Resolution of Intent - SID 213iy.io 4., , tj RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATZ SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T8E CITY OF XALISPELL,'� Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the city of Kalispell to create a, special impmovement district, hereby designated as spwial Improvement District No4 213, and the boundaries of eaid -proposed special improvement district -are hereby declared to be as follows: beginning at a point which is the intersection of the center- line of Ninth Street and a line which is 140 feet west of the west property line of First Avenue East; thence in an easterly direction for a distance of 360 feet along tLe canterline of Winth Street; thence in a northeTly.direction along a line whi0h is paral- lelto and 140 feet east of the west property line of Blocks 117, 97,84,77o64, for a distance of 1965 feet; thence In a westerly direction parallel to the south property line of Block 64 for a distance of 112 feet; thence in a nor therly direction parallel to the vast property line of Block 64 for & diztanoe-of IL�8 feet thence iii a westerly d�rection along the line between lots 18 and 19 Bloek GLV, the'nee aQTG%a First kvenue last and thence continuing westerly along the line between lots 6 and 7 Block 65 said westerly line to be 136 feet long; thence in a southerly direction parallel to the east property line of Block 65 for a distance of 149 feet thence in a westerly direction parallel to the south property line of Block 65 for a distance of 112 feet which point lies upon the west property line of the east half of Block 65; thence in a south- erly direction for a distance of-1665 feet along the west property - line of the east half of Blocks 65, 76, 96, 105 and,continuing southerly14o feet west of the west property line of First Avenue East to the centeTline of Ninth Street which is the point of beginning, all of the above lots are within the 0 riginal townsite City of Kalispell, Montana. Section 2. That the ge-aeTal tha-2�LcteT �3f tl�e improvements to be made In said proposed Special Improvement District is ad follows, to -wit-. grading ana pav-�ng of First kveiiva 'East from Fourth Street to Ninth Street with either a six inch reinforced concrete pavement on a gravel base or one and one-half inch Warrenite-Bitulithic surface on a one and one-half inch bitum- inous base and also the construction,of necessary catch -basins, storm -sewers, repairs, sidewalk extensions, curbs, headers, etc., said pavement to extend back to the property lines on either side Of First Avenue East at the intersection of Streets and section 3m That the approximate cost of said improvements is $24oi6.2o. Section 4. That the entire cost and expense of such improve- ments, including street and alley intersections shall be assessed against the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within such district to be assessed for that part of the whole cost which its area bears to the area of the entire district exclusive of streets, alleys and public places. fection 5. That said improvements shall be paid for in Special Improvement District Coupon Warrants issued against said district in the sum of $100.00 each, bearing interest at 6 per cant, per annum from the date of registration until called for redemption or paid -in fiall, interest payable annually on the first day of Januaryof each year, payable 5 years from date and re- deemable at any time there are funds to the credit of such Improvement District Fund available therefor; the interest coupons attached to such warrants to bear the fac-simile signatures of the Uayor and Clerk. Section 7. That on the 2nd day of June 1924, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City Of Kalispell, Montana, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., a regular meeting, the CityCouncil will hear and pass upon all protests that may be made against the making os such improvements or the creation of such district, provided said protests are made in writing within fifteen days after the first publication of this notice. Section 8. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give the proper notice of the passage of this resolution by publication and mailing as required by law, such publication to be made in the Kalispell Times a weekly newspaper published in the City of Kalispell.
