Section 1. That it is Las intention of theCityCouncil of' the City
of Kalispell to create a speci,,.,il improvement district, hereby designated
as Special Improve.ment District No. 209, and the boundarie!5 of said
proposed special �improveineiit district are heeby declared. to be as
follows:
Comiencing at a point which is tyLe intersection of the centerline
of the alley in Block 37 Original Townsite, Kali*pell, Montama.,
with the eaxterly and westerly line runnin�� throu.-h the middle of'
Block 37 Original Townsite; thence in a sout4erly direction aiong
the ce"terlille of' tn'�,' alleY 366 feet to a point which is the inter-
oeation qf said cen�erline with the easterly and westlerly line running
through the middle of Block 44 Original Townuite; thence in a weaterly
direction tArough the middle of Block 44, 45 and 46, 770 feet to
the ceaterlLne of' the alley in Block 46; �hence in �a northerly
direction 3,,,.)6 feet aaon, the centerline of' this alley to the center

concrete pavement on a gravel base from the center of the alley, between
First Avenue East and Second Avenue East to the center of t1le alley
between Main Streot and First Avenue West and ttic construction of nec-
essary catch-basi.ns, storm-seviero, wideniricr of sidewoLlks, concrete curbing,
repairs, eto.

ection 4. That t�,ic entire cost and expense of' such improvements,
incl-udinl�l street and aliey iritersections shall be asses�,ed against
the entire district, each lot or parcel of land within Such
district to be assessed for that pnxt of tUe whole cost which its area

and public places privided that each squure foot of' land embodied within

Provided fiArt�ier, that any oh�-,raoter of the work proposed to be
done, heretofore done -A tae expense of tne owner or any lot or lots
having previously paid for said work, where the work has been done upon
the official. grade ant in o, manner and condition satisfactory to the
City Engyineer, shall be excluded from the cost of the proposed work and
the cost of such excluded work shall not be assessed a_oainet such lot
or lots.
Section 5. That said assessment sh�all be paid for Ten equal annual
installments hereby extended over a period of Ten years. Said assess-
ments shall constitute a fund to be known as Snecial Improvement
District Fund No. 209.
Section 6. That said improvements shall -I be paid for a Special
Improve-ment District, Coupon Warr,,ixits issued, against said district
in the sam of' $100.00 eacli, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annwn
from Uie date of registration imtil called fo-r redemption or paid in
full, interest payable annually on the first day of January of each
year, payable Ten year,5 from date and redeemable at any Lime there
are funds to tiie credit of' such Tmprovement District Fund available
the-refor, the interest cou-,)ons attached to such war -rants to 'bear
the fac-simile signatures of' the Mayor and Clerk.
Section 7. That on the 2nd day uf* June 1924, ,t t,ae Council

7:30 o'clock p. m., a regular meetir,,I.,;, the City Council will hear
and pass upon all Protests that muy 'be made a�ainst tl,-)e Making of

said protests are made izi writing within fifteen days after tile
fir,st publication of this notice.
Section'8. The City Clerk is hereby nuthorized and directed to
