A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGED OF KALISPELL OR
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT OF FEDERAL AID
PROJECT NO, UPP 6799(34), ALSO KNOWN AS 1ST AVE W & 1ST AVE E —
KALISPELL PROJECT, WITH THE STATE OF MONTANA, ACTING BY AND
THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, the State of Montana proposes to construct and/or reconstruct a certain highway
and adjacent pedestrian facilities (sidewalks) in and through the City, the
construction being known as Federal Aid Project No. UPP 6799(34), also known
as 1" AVE w & 1ST AVE E — KALISPELL Project; and
WHEREAS, the construction will be over and upon Route ls` Avenue West (U-6722) & lst
Avenue East (U-6723) in the City of Kalispell, beginning at approximately RP
0.000 (intersection of Airport Road) and extending northerly approximately 1.181
miles to RP 1.181 (intersection of West Center Street), and beginning at
approximately RP 0.676 (intersection of Sth Street East) and extending northerly
approximately 0.339 miles to RP 1.015 (intersection of East Center Street); and
WHEREAS, the State of Montana desires to receive Federal funds to construct the highway
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell desires to have the construction done, the City deeming it to
be a valuable and beneficial consideration.
Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY of
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Kalispell that the
Construction Agreement of Federal Aid Project No. UPP 6799(34), also
known as l ST AVE W & 1ST AVE E — KALISPELL Project, with the State
of Montana, acting by and through the Department of Transportation, is
adopted by this Council; and the City Manager of Kalispell or designee is
hereby empowered and authorized to execute said Agreement.

THE CITY OF KALISPELL THIS 7TH DAY OF APRIL, 2014.
