A RESOLUTION DT?CLARING THAT Ah EM-,RGERCY EXISTS AND T.TuiT IT IS NECES-
SARY TO IMAKE EXPENDITUMS FROM Tli7 STREET FUND IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUhT
PROVIDED 13Y '-M CTMENT BUDGET FOR STREET PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE, COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, I I T TANA,
WHEREAS, during the V�inter and Spring months of the year 1936
there has been an unprecedented fall of snow which blocked the streets
and avenues of the City to such an extent that traffic was obstructed
and the use of the streets made dangerous, and in order to provide 'or
the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City and to permit the
free passage of the streets and avenues of the City it was necessary to
employ a large number of laborers in the removal of the snow from the
streets and avenues of the City, all of which was unforeseen it the
time of the preparing of the annual budget and was far in excess of
any amount used for such pur-poses in previous years; and
WHEREAS, all of the �;treet and Alley funds available for use upon
the streets have been used and that it has been necessary to expend
over and above the amount provided by the current budget the sum of
12,100.00;
321 IT 71EREFORE RESOLVED by the �,ouncil of the City of Kalispeli
that be reason of +the facts as hereinbefore stated that an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and under the provisions or the second
pmragru,h or Chapter 1;�l or the Laws Of the Twenty-seco�nd Legislative
Assembly of the zitate of viontana, and tlu t expenditures in excess of the
current budget of the City of Kalispell for street purposes be exceeded
in the sum of �2,100.00 for the purnoses herein set forth, and that

emergency warrants be drawn against said btreet and Alley fund and
that the City 'Treasurer is authorized and directed to pay such warrants
when funds for that purpose are available and if funds are not available
then the same shall be registered, bear interest and be called for pay-
ment in the manner provided by law for other city warrants.
'Phis being an emergency resolution by reason of thefacts as herein
S,,3t forth, the same shall take effect and be in full force and effect
irzaediately uppn its passage and approval.
The foregoing resolution unanimously adopted by a vote of all
members present of the City Council of t--,Ia City of Kalispell at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the 7th day of 11pril, 1936.
