John Morrison, of Morrison-Maierle Engineering Company of Helena discussed
with the Council the possibility of securing Federal Grant for construction of
storm sewers.
Roberts moved for adjournment. Seconded and carried.

Regular monthly meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held at 7:30 P.M.
November 5, 1962.
Mayor Flynn presiding with all Councilmen present.
Minutes of Regular Meeting of October 8th, 1962 were read. Roberts moved
approval as read.. Seconded by Bjorneby and carried.
The following monthly reports of City Officials were examined and approved
on motion of Roberts. Seconded and carried.

City Sanitarian for October
City Treasurer for September

Committee Reports:
Roberts, Street and Alley- Reported curb cut granted to new Forest Service
Building on North Main for entrance to parking lot. Moved acceptance of report.

Main Street building.
Turner, Sewer -Water - Holding in Committee the purchasing of new addressing
machine for Water Department. Committee given power to act on motion of Turner,
seconded by Roberts and carried.
Homuth, Finance Committee -All claims audited and approved. Moved adoption
of report, seconded and carried.
Homuth, Finance Committee - Moved that Sewer -Water Committee_ be authorized
to charge off bad accounts of approximatelj $989.50 in Water Department.
Seconded and carried.
Homuth, Safety Committee - Moved call for bids be authorized for purchase
of a new 1963 Police patrol car. Seconded and carried.
Jerrow, Parking Meters - The request for short time parking meters in front
of Liquor Store not recommended by Committee.
Addressing the Council:
Austin Miller and Mr. Dunham protested the Oil Sprinkling Assessments on
their vacant lots. Referred to Street and Alley Committee for report to Council.
W. E. Wheeler reported condition of the railroad crossings on 3rd and 4th
Avenue East as a traffic hazard. Referred to Street and Alley Committee.
Hugh,Hennessey indicated desire to annex his property.
Proposal to build a retaining wall and flood Peterson School tennis courts
for ice skating rink was referred to Park & Recreation Committee.
Bids for purchase of Gasoline and Heating Oil Mere received and opened.
Moved by Homuth that low bid of T. J. Landry Oil Company for gasoline
@ .206 k for regular and .2369q for Ethyl be accepted. Seconded by Ellingson
and carried.
Moved by Smyser that low bid of .13294� on #1 Heating Oil by Texaco Company
and low bid of .1264(,I-by Union Oil Company for #2 Heating Oil be accepted.
Seconded by Lerion and carried.
Moved by Roberts call for bids be authorized for purchase of 10,020 feet
of 3/4" and 1020 feet of 1" copper tubing for the Water Department. Seconded
and carried.
Resolution No. 2477 was presented and read, being a Resolution of intention
to annex a portion of several city blocks adjacent to 8th Avenue West North.
Bjorneby moved adoption of the Resolution.' Seconded by Roberts. On roll
call vote, all Councilmen voted for adoption.
Bjorneby moved approval of Electricians Surety Bond for Glen Ford.
Seconded and carried.
Smyser moved for adjournment. Seconded and carried.
